(a) Unless I'm mistaken, there are three tweets. Three. (b) Can you use curl? Maybe hit the API. (c) The modern web DOES require JavaScript. Sure, I'm not clear on what that has to do with reading three tweets available on a publi

This is math. The working proof _is_ the paper. It just takes a long time to refute if there’s a subtle error. “Putting up” ISN’T proof but it will sure get a lot of important people to drop what they’re doing and check the paper faster.

Wow so many words to just say “this product isn’t for me”

by jasonmp85 6y ago
Uh that’s a REALLY bad example, given how much Google indeed HAS tacked everything else onto their core product. How many ads do you have to scroll past for the first real result? Are you certain the results are good, or are they skewed by

Is anyone who’s used Actions surprised? They launched VERY unpolished and this sort of lack of care seems par for the course, tbh.

Why in god’s name would you ever pick the word “Xonsh” for a project? If the initial “X” isn’t alienating enough, stay for the “nsh” consonant cluster at the end!

Hiring doesn’t show whether you’re capable of the work, it just answers whether you might be hired. The reply here is entirely in line with the poster; they didn’t say anything about feeling like a fraud, they said candidates in tech minmax

This must clearly be an oversight, since "good people"—one would hope—think about how their words and actions might impact others, and work to address those impacts in an open and vulnerable way free from judgment. I'm sure t

Seconded. I'm not sure whether the person upthread was earnestly posting that, or surreptitiously doing so as a stalking horse for something else. Either way: not a protected class, and it should stay that way.

Yeah why is this post on here at all? Why does it have so much discussion? “Imma pirate something. Whoops doesn’t work. Well I’ll pay for it. What?!? DRM?!? In my computer?!?”

I went to order a booster seat for a new childcare provider tonight and it says April 21 and everything up until now had been 2–3 days so, no, they’re not doing a great job here.
