The DAU drop off is going to be (already is?) monstrous. Not sure if that’s a metric that matters because I don’t care, but people have already stopped using Threads in large numbers.

Activating IRR is such a shit move. I wonder if it’s only for certain critical MOS or something. Can’t imagine getting out of the military and having to go back (happened to friends of mine)

If Instagram is eating junk food then Twitter/Threads is trying to find bits of steak in a pool of toxic waste

My hobby/passion became my day job. I'm no longer passionate about it, nor is it a hobby anymore. On the flipside - it's a great job, pays well, and I still find the work interesting (just not enough to spend my free time on

I don’t think that they are, though that was my initial thought. I am seeing comments come back in waves. I think it’s from subreddits re-opening.

Great ideas but a huge shit-mess. IIRC it’s a lightly-edited compilation of his SCP writings? I enjoyed Ra and Fine Structure much more.

Seriously. Comments like the one to which you responded are absolutely endemic on this site. Like half the people here are incapable of viewing anything as a non-expert.

> I've had my posts removed by power tripping mods maybe a handful of times. I thought this too until I went to Reveddit one day and WOW there was a lot of stuff silently removed without disappearing from my user history.

Wow what an incredibly smug and presumptuous comment. You are so sure your assumption is right that you dismiss information directly from the person himself. This is some Reddit-tier shit right here.

That is incredibly niche usage. It doesn't come close to explaining why they have been basically absent from retailers for years(?).

It’s unbelievable how user-hostile old Reddit has become on mobile. Overriding the back button to remove the referring page from history. Modals popping up after x amount of browsing, etc.

I do have favorite instrumentalists, but yeah this is pretty accurate. I will listen to whatever people like George Lever, Mike Dean, Nolly, etc. are involved with.

I have been searching for stuff the last few days and have come across more broken or empty Imgur links than live ones. As recent as late-2020 images are already deleted.
