I see that. I couldn't find any justification for that choice either. Any reason I can think of (security, legacy, optimization) would imply the powers that be wouldn't want CSP allowed as a meta tag either. My guess is it's

As a consumer, you don't need an account to use it. I have a Google account for Android and Gmail but my YouTube account is deleted. I "subscribe" to channels with RSS. If producers make their content feed available elsewhere

It's been a while since I looked into it but, last I checked, the only way to pull that off is with a rooted phone and a custom ROM. Is that what you're on? Seems every time I attempt to do that, the ROM I want to use isn't a

Link is not HTML specific. Content-Security-Policy can also be specified as an HTML meta tag, that's where it belongs. CSP obsoletes X-Frame-Options which couldn't be specified as a meta tag only because MS made up that rule when

Obnoxious ads are definitely a problem. If they were native, I'm not sure we'd have much recourse against them. I disable auto-play in Firefox, but that's not the default and some browsers don't even have the option. I&#

I've been thinking about that too. Plain URLs, just like you said. Hypertext is out. Copy paste a URL if you want to go there. Bad URLs can't hide behind innocent looking text or attention grabbing images. I'm sure most clien

I'd still have it on for the bad players. There'd likely be no need to whitelist if you just want to help those playing nice because tracking blockers don't block ads, they block third-party trackers. Ads hosted natively woul

Obviously PR people aren't going to start calling it what it is, but we should. "Ads" should be referred to as "trackers"; real "ad blockers" (without whitelists (those should be called "extortion rin

I've been dreaming about a text only network for a few years now. Haven't done a damn thing to make it happen but what I envision starts with a search engine that only indexes text/plain content. I've submitted a feature
