The code you saw in the video uses Tailwind CSS, which means the code doesn't generate a class for `text-gray1`, but rather, it creates a simple tailwind.confg.js file that lists out all the colors (and every other design scale like ty

I've been working on a Sketch to HTML/CSS generator that generates production-ready programmer-friendly code. Here's a short demo: https://youtu.be/Yi0BjSM3v4w It eliminates weeks and months of tedious design

If you're writing anything for the browser, then I'll solidly recommend Reason. It works out of the box and ReasonReact is much more ergonomic compared to vanilla React + ImmutableJS + Redux + TypeScript combo. And there is a grow

This was good to read! "FWIW if you're interested I'd also like to mention the huge impact OCaml had on the design of .NET generics and C# 2.0, which I've never properly described on this list. It was seeing and experie

Have you ever had one of those notepads with the kind of paper that made you want to write something, anything, even though you had nothing to write about? OCaml is just like that to me. I stroll through the internet aimlessly and I find a

I posted this link to HN; it is just a list of essays the author liked - it is not a top 10 greatest essays of all time list or a curated collection. Just a slice of one person's readings. But I'm enjoying all the other suggestion

It seems that it takes far fewer lines of code (and correspondingly simple program model) to implement LISP in Prolog than both imperative and functional languages. Once I asked a Prolog expert at a conference "Prolog is truly mind-ben

Just to add, I wish I was able to articulate clearly why I prefer one over the other. One way might be to contrast both OO and FP approaches with a reference UI and have discussions based on concrete code. But that's a lot of work. For

I really think we should talk about this over a proper medium like email or Zoom or something :) The point about stability as an inherent need for good UIs is true. I'll keep it in mind when thinking about this problem. Here's two

I'm pretty comfortable with Ruby and have been programming in it for over 5 years now. But for any new project from now on I'd try to use a Typed Functional language - Reason/OCaml, Haskell etc. I used to argue strongly again
