I found these two lists: http://speckyboy.com/2010/02/25/50-amazing-personal-blog-web... http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/galleries/personal-websites/ I found Andrea Mann's website ( http://www.andreamann.com/ ) to be especially clean and

See, this is exactly what I'm looking for. They both have a similar style, but they are different enough and both well designed.

Looks like they are redirecting their blog to their root website (in beta?).

They are official apps (PS3, Wii, XBox), but not Boxee's implementation. That type of thing is what would be detracted from in this case.

I mostly used their application on the PS3, but I also used the boxee implementation for a while. And yes, I do agree with you that the website is less-than-ideal.

I'm not sure about Quora, but Reddit has Reddit Gold (monthly subscription, $4/month I think) and Ads (I'm not sure of anything else), and SO has the jobs platform where businesses are charged to post employment opportunities ($350 for 30-d

Most of the companies I've talked with said they had a preferred time that you come in (typically 9am), but if you wanted some other arrangement, they'd take it into consideration or try it out. The company I'm currently at has people come

I've never heard of getting out of school at 3pm. Unless you are in college and intentionally choosing that class schedule, this make no sense. When I was in high school, it was 4pm, and I went to school at 8am, except my junior and senior

Seconded. I'm the same way. There were times where I'd mentally shut down and couldn't even browse the internet because I couldn't think straight. Working on my own projects was a joke while working at that particular company.

Having met Dan Shipper in real life was really cool. We still occasionally talk on Skype. I think this is a great idea. I'll definitely be looking into this and seeing who else I may meet. EDIT: Bah, no WP7 app, but it's understandable sinc

I applied at Company A that had an test similar to an IQ test, and they returned back that I would be better suited to an entirely different job than what I had applied for. It also took them 3 full weeks to get this information back to me,

And one of the things that throws some software estimates out the window is when a developer/programmer gets in the zone. There have been times I've hammered out a problem that I had spent days on in a few hours when the inspiration/flow/et

I had one class that I wasn't allowed to test out of during my second to last semester. The professor told us that all of the assignments were up on the portal for the class. I asked him if I could turn in all of the assignments the first w

You don't have to go at the same pace as everyone else.If you want to sit through the class, sure you can do that, or you can ask the teacher/advisor/dean what it takes to test out of the class. Go buy the book and go through all the exampl

TL;DR: There's a time and place for everything learned in someone's education. This is probably a terrible explanation, but I'm giving it my best shot. Point #1: Math is fun while you are learning it and figuring it out. After that, it isn'

I'm genuinely curious as to how it is a possible competitive disadvantage to tell how many times your app has been downloaded. This sounds like you are trying to cover up something.

My daughter does this all the time on my Kindle Fire and my WP7. She routinely has her thumb just sitting on the edge of the screen and she wonders why the game won't work for her, but works for me. You could program dead zones on the edges

I received mine Feb. 27th. I was pretty surprised that it came that quickly. I've read partially into the second chapter, seems like it is going to be good so far. They are making some bold claims in the book though.

I really do agree with a lot of the points you made. The one thing I think you failed to mention was that the in the past, these same companies that are backing SOPA/PIPA fought previous technologies, such as public radio, VCRs/DVD Burners,

In regards to #2, you can't simply just take the people with the best skills. You have to be able to get along with them at the same time. Otherwise, you may have a rockstar developer that's an absolute nightmare to work with.
