Thank you. I went through its GitHub repo for docs. It seems I need to dig a bit deeper perhaps. How to get started with my Parquet files isn’t immediately obvious. I assume Python bindings would talk through gRPC. I could use gRPC directl

Hi. Is it possible to use Datafusion remotely, likea query service? Perhaps using Arrow Flight? I would like to query data with different clients. Python in Jupyter, straight to browser and perhaps even something like Nu shell. This way eac

I wonder if Instagram being big Django site has driven Cinder development? What sort of impact Cinder has on their Django workloads? Regular models, views, ORM stuff can be fairly generic. Did they need to change Django to better benefit fr

Wow. This is nice. I can see putting it to use with csv and json with gron or something. I don’t have that much markdown to search, but having a tool be just there in the shell might change that. I see they have enabled Snowball stemmers. I

Most excellent! We use Uwsgi in production with Django. I have often wondered why it isn’t more known. There’s support for many runtimes and features for larger scale. Only thing that’s hard is setting up configuration for your use case. Pe

This looks interesting. What is the service runtime controller in Piku? Is Piku mainly about configuring and controlling Nginx which directs Uwsgi that in turn runs app runtimes? Also, does the k3s setup have publicly available provisioning

Incidentally, I was just looking at Mac M1 mini display support. I have LG UltraFine 4K USB-C and 5K display port (not the LG one) monitors. M1 can support 5K only through USB-C. This leaves me with HDMI to USB-C so that LG too can be conne

If that were the case there could be an option to set this on browser basis, using the usual cookies and local storage. Dark mode is not (just) a theme. It's about accessibility. Its benefits vary by time of day and screen in use. Also

Yes, this is very unfortunate decision. Same that Stackoverflow chose to do. I am liable to call this dark pattern... There’s no technical reason for this that I can think of. Guess our usage data locked in is that much more profitable.

Good thing this came about. I looked through various JS frameworks for web components a year or so back. I now can't remember did I find Solid had web component support then. I see it has this support now, with Solid Elements. I rememb

I'll add my grateful thanks. Rich has already become my go-to tool for various Python stuff. I use these days Code's Python file with notebook cell comments. With this I can use console and Jupyter Notebook style rendering depend

Thank you. I'll be sure to check ModalEdit. Since VS Code is so easy to extend I guess I'll just have to find what things to copy over from Kak. Since Kak can be used as a server also ( https://github.com/mawww/

Thanks. There's also https://github.com/reykjalin/kakoune-mode which sends input from VS Code to Kakoune and shows its output back within Code. I haven't tested it yet, though.

Well, this certainly looks interesting. You mean I could use ModalEdit as a basis to bringing Kakoune like selection behaviour to VS Code as long as I'm willing to configure it? I have played with Kak, but Code's extensions are ea

Well, yes, but this kind defeats transient nature of data moving through pipe. Testing and debugging and operating on pipe based processing benefits from close feedback cycle. I’d rather keep that as much as possible.

I recently came across Ramda CLI's interactive mode [1] It essentially hijacks pipe's input and output into browser where you can play with the Ramda command. Then you just close browser tab and Ramda CLI applies your changed code

This does sound like Ansible does not make it easy to control it from pure Python. It looks an ingenious way to get around it. I came across this Python wrapper around Ansible yesterday: http://suitable.readthedocs.io/en
