From what I understand, you can't copyright the name of a fictional device. You can trademark the name, but according to Trademarkia there are no active trademarks on it right now.

keiju> ruby keiju> a jewelry name after all matz> put it alongside kanji? Just FYI, this refers to the simpler hiragana characters sometimes put next to kanji characters (for people who don't read kanji very well).

I'm addicted to the L-shaped IKEA Galant desks, so I just extended the legs all the way and then put a bunch of my old PHP and Flex books underneath for extra height. I find it helps significantly to raise the monitor so that the top edge i

I started "programming" when I was somewhere around 6, when my stepfather made me type 4000 line BASIC programs into his Commodore 64 out of a hobbyist magazine. He taught me very simple debugging (syntax error on line 1230? 1225 GOTO 1235

I think the boring, mundane stuff could potentially be the most interesting stuff. Run statistical analysis for unusual words and phrases and find the secret diplomatic codes. :)

It's unfortunate that they're unredacted, but doesn't it seem like it would be against Wikileaks' purpose to cherry pick information to release? I mean I thought they were supposed to be about "information freedom", not pushing their own ag

I will sell lannisters.com to DebtEye if the price is right, with the wild popularity of Game of Thrones I think it's a pretty good one :) I'm actually doing something sort of similar to DebtEye with lannisters.com as a weekend project, but

Spotify's UX is okay, I wouldn't really call it awesome. I mean it's got all the music player basics (playlists, search, etc), but there are almost no music discovery features and the social stuff is pretty lacking.

I do not believe it does quit it properly on OS X. Even after a fresh reboot, Spotify appeared to be using about 40k/sec outbound bandwith. After I removed it, idle bandwidth dropped to zero. I also noticed something strange when removing i

It totally depends on what kind of programming you want to do. - If you want to make web applications, then probably not. - If you want to build web infrastructure, then probably. - If you want to make desktop games, then probably.
