Why use risky rebase while you can just squash all into one commit and push it via intermediate branch (something that Github does as an option)? I prefer to be worry free than always be ready for someone screwing up a branch.

In Poland you can still get very decent glasses (that could be even with a premium brand frames) with top service included for about $300. I believe it's just a market that makes it expensive or cheap. Oh, and you don't need a pre

In most of the controversies posted on HN they usually end up with a feeling that nothing would change, because only us, the tech community knows about details of an issue and we are too few to have an impact. But this is solely affecting a

I agree on how this article is mis-titled. It's clear that the author just hates Rails. Now - I use RoR and other ecosystems and I really miss Ruby or RoR features in those other ones.

It seems that there are mostly 2 types of devs: - those that use tools, learn them and master in them, - those that always want to create their own tools, and will usually oppose adopting and learning existing ones. I belong to the first ty

Oh yes, ads waste a lot of resources. But if they tend to be 'tailored to user' then the collected data has to call home first and then choice of ads gets transferred to probably already closed browser tab.
