Paypal has no incentive here. They can just float the cash and earn a small % on it. Do it to enough people and you understand how they make a lot of money.

This is why I built LawyerClock. I got pissed off at the long calls with corporate attorneys for $600+ per hour (per partner!). http://www.lawyerclock.com * I coded this during lawyer meetings.

I do the same with Trello. I have a "life" board. Easy to move things around as priorities change.

It sounds like a lot of obvious mistakes were made here. #1 on my list would be to never give direct access to the company's bank account if possible, and definitely not without limits. There should be 1 or 2 names on it max. What has perso

Terrible idea, and based on the title of your blog, it's no surprise to me that you'd like all your equity in year one. There are reasons for 3,4 or N year vesting - namely keeping employees invested in the business. If employees at a start

You probably want to run this on a single static page, not requiring PHP, MySQL or Wordpress. That will help avoid the completely broken state it's in now.

It works for me when I do Shift+CMD+3 (full screen), but Shift+CMD+4 (variable size screenshot) does not work. OSX 10.8.2 and up to date dropbox.

- Great list. Having gone through all of this I can tell you it's very expensive and time consuming to do all of this, but it is prudent. - 83B 83B 83B! This one cost me over $100,000 in a deal, and at one point came close to killing a vent

Article could be made useful by showing a benchmark of indexes vs no-indexes, and showing the readers how the indexes were created. At least then we can say it's educational and has substance. Otherwise I agree this is substance-less. It's

After hacking together these desks in the past I bought a Geekdesk ( http://www.geekdesk.com ). You quickly realize the value of the $1,200 pricetag is that the desk adjusts in seconds to the exact sit or stand height you want. I would spen

I also wish they announced when RDS might start running off of these. In order to achieve higher IOPS i've provisioned 350GB of disk for my ~50GB database. I came across a rumor that after 300GB of space, AWS enables striping and figured it

Since I'm spending more than $1,000/month for an RDS master, which is backed by EBS, i'm intrigued at the idea of running our database off of these. Of course I'd lose all the awesome automated features of RDS, but worth considering. Maybe

I spent $1,100 on a GeekDesk max (including shipping). An investment in my health was long overdue, especially since I've spent $4-5,000 on my computer setup. The huge benefit is not having to move all your stuff whenever you're done sittin

This is a great update. You certainly don't want to put anything production on here, but small applications would be great with this. Even a properly cached WP blog (low traffic) would do just fine on here. The automatic backups and rollbac
