I'd never heard of µBlock myself, definitely going to check them out; been frustrated constantly with performance loss from Adblock/ABP

I'm actually reading that one right now. It's quite good, and has made a Haskell fan out of me already despite getting a bit fatigued by chapter 8.

Oh I don't just mean programming; I've run into perfectly intelligent people who nonetheless respond to even the most basic computing tasks as if you've asked them to insert their tenderparts into a badger's den. Now, I&

I seriously need to get a copy of this book. I've been hearing about the Little Schemer ever since I first entered the Lisp world; and one of the authors of that edition even works on my favorite Lisp (Racket).

I've done this in Racket. It was quite a fun little learning project. I've been meaning to dust off the core and add some more I/O hardware to it though. https://github.com/jarcane/MicroMini if you'

As an American I'd never even heard of these things except through internet exploration, but I was always particularly fascinated with RISCOS once I did; even ran ROX briefly. I've been tempted to get a Pi just to try the real dea

See, I can't help but find the latter of those two insufferable. Yes, the former sounds stuffy and boring, but the latter one actively makes me cringe and think of overly enthusiastic Bennigans-esque managers who really want to be my &

I currently use racket-mode when doing Racket in Emacs. The main reason for doing so was simply that it was the easiest one to install. It's no SLIME, but it doesn't try to be, just provide some basic niceties and font-locking.

Yes. As someone with anxiety and depression issues myself I sympathize with the sudden scariness of something like this, but it would be a shame if it just went dark because you have obviously put a lot of work into it. If you do decide to

All aesthetics are subjective, because they are based primarily on associative memory. That's not an argument against their value, that's merely a refusal to acknowledge it.

I think tone is the correct argument against it. It is essentially kitsch, in font form, and because of that it's going to devalue the information it presents in many contexts, and is thus only likely to go unregarded in contexts where

I know I certainly do. The very things that make me like Racket over other Lisps are also the things that make me like Python over other imperative languages, ie. clear syntax, quick-to-prototype, big standard library, high quality document

It is possible to cross-compile Racket for Android. There's notes on how to do this in the src tree here: https://github.com/plt/racket/tree/master/racket/src There's also Whalesong, which

There are certainly individual subreddits who've attempted such things, but what I've seen from that is that the line gets blurrier than I think people realize, and small content creators get stomped on as a result. The Frogman is
