I am one of these engineers, but I consider the "cowboy style" a weakness and bad habit and would never ever judge another engineer over using a debugger.

It is very difficult to get into Japanese society. They are really friendly and helpful, but finding a common "wave length" is very difficult. Introverts have it much easier to live with that. Also, since there are a lot of introv

I would like to learn about the background of the project developers. Not their names and where they are from, but how they got the knowledge to realize projects like this. Are they hobbyists who work in unrelated fields and just learned th

I once overheard a conversation at a bike shop where a customer complained that he could not switch on the light without using the app. On that day I knew I had made a good decision bying a steel frame non-battery bike.

Office Space is from 1999, so people under 35 had little chance to watch it when it came out. It is a classic for those in the know, but not like Big Lebowski in the sense that everyone is talking about. To our young people in IT: Watch &qu

Some companies even pay your study. You do a regular BS at a university (or college), work as an intern at the company between terms, and the company will pay you 1000€+ per month over a period of 3 to 5 years. This is not a scholarship, bu

Remember when there were export requlations for the Playstation 3 because the chips were so powerful that North Korea could use them for missile guiding systems? I always thought that was excellent marketing.

Can someone point to a study or an article claiming that Vitamin D has a benefit for cardiovascular health? I am taking Vitamin D supplements in winter, but it never occured to me that I should do this to improve the health of my heart.

Population in Syria has more than quadrupled between 1960 and 2010, so they had to feed four times the people from the same area of not very fertile land. Are you sure climate change had a greater destabilizing effect? If so, please explain

Not sure if younger people know how big Japanese electronics were in the 80s and 90s with brands like Aiwa, Nakamichi (look up "Nakamichi Dragon", or even better, try to buy one on Ebay) and Sony (which was like Apple in the 80s).
