Generally the tourist taxes paid (if any) are considerably lower than the taxes a resident pays. Besides payments for city taxes which equal more or less what tourist taxes are (in NL), I also pay taxes (income, possessions/investments

Been to both countries a couple of times (I'm Dutch). Fingerprints got taken every time at the US, never happened to me at the UK border.

I was very surprised about a month ago about how incredible customer focused their policies are regarding to travel to a foreign country. Went to US with Vodafone and ramped up 1200€ data costs, sorry, podcast that automatically downloaded.

Yeah, I'd be curious to see how much Netflix's own usage affects this. I'll give it a shot Friday night!

That would be totally valid, except I get a perfectly fine and stable 500 down from, for example, Microsoft's MSDN, depending on the size of the ISO showing this straight for a couple of minutes..

Odd, on a dedicated 500 mbit line I've now gotten 6 different results, ranging from 350-500. Speedtest.net indicates a stable 500+ mbit line, downloads from very fast servers always max it out at 500 as well. Besides stabilizing it a b

Interesting idea. Found it useful and working so far? Care to share (part) of your structure? I've always found wiki's and the like extremely difficult to organize. Lots of knowledge and little things, but it always runs out of ha

It could be that, but it could also be because we're marrying so much less [1] which changes the landscape (who marries for what reasons). I'd say that 1000 marriages 20 years ago aren't all that comparable to a 1000 marriage

I never got why people read and get this 'owner of the company makes all the money' narrative from the book. She is obviously glorifying these man, making them the 'hero', but don't we do exactly the same in every o

I found your description here a bit more difficult to understand than the description on the website. I like the concept, as in having revenue streams that can be shared with the people building the product. You thought about things like ho

Just tested it and didn't find it super bad, but I am honestly (negatively) surprised. It does indeed lag quite a bit and feels very unnatural. Chrome here as well. I use React quite a bit myself and haven't experienced this in my

I think the flow you write should always be the way you work with code. First make sure it works, then look how to improve it, what parts are expressing similar behavior, what parts are different etc. If I remember correctly this is also wh

Very interesting concept. I was surprised that most of the open jobs are not remote, I expected the company to be very open about this and possibly even promoting/preferring this, sort of eating your own dog food.
