That's certainly an issue, but your demand stifles any effort to learn more by saying that you have to study "generational effects" (what, maybe a 50 year study before you can learn anything). Which will just be followed up

That's not the issue, really. The issue is whether the program has access to itself as input. This one does, so it's not a quine. But it's cool.

Beware, asking for stock instead of options can be worse . If you are granted stock, you are being given something of value, and you must pay taxes as if it was income on the "fair value" (which, admittedly, may be low). If you

I'd love to see a nicely curated "voice recognition benchmark" to assess claims like this. Do you know of one?

I don't care about the label, I care for a fair comparison of the question, "Would Universities be better off with a simple mix of index funds or using their current approach?" To answer that question, you'd like to fig

I wonder if the returns quoted for endowments properly subtract out the salaries, build space, etc for the employees of the institution with the endowment, or just the explicit costs from outside management? (See my clarification below. I&

His point is precisely that segregation laws and zoning laws do the same thing, so he's trying to use language that makes that obvious. It's not a leap really, right? To "segregate" things is almost synonymous with put

It's important that drivers be reasonably competent too, and so we have a licensing program. But it is cheap and quick. (Where "quick" might mean a long line at the DMV, but not an apprenticeship.)

Are you contending that Android Wear watching can't keep time? I'm willing to listen if you have any evidence, but that sounds like an extraordinary claim.

Right. I was skeptical in first few paragraphs, since students' teaching assessments do have their flaws. But if there was a statistically significant improvement in his students performance in later classes, then the man's doing

Inside? I watched the presentation, and it didn't seem like the seats folded forward. Do they? Now that I think about it, I haven't even seen the back open. Why can't I find pictures from the back, with the gate open?

It might, since I think moving heavy objects is pure drag on a ICE vehicle, but if you have regenerative braking, you get some of the extra effort you put in, back out. That's an advantage many subways have by using electrical power.

I agree there's a problem here, but the trend you point out is probably breakeven with respect to gas/electric. Many people how move into a dense city have no car at all. (Those who do have more money and often garage their car,

I think it could be either way, but many object to the fact that it is both. In other words, corporate tax is seen as double taxation, since the earnings (after taxes) are then passed on to shareholders, who pay tax on it again. I could se

With the caveat that if your job does any 401k matching, you should take advantage of it. Automatic 100% return is hard to beat. (And then if you switch jobs, roll it over into a Vanguard IRA.)
