Yes, I know it's been possible for years. But 5G would lower the deployment costs dramatically (assuming the operator gets a good flatrate data deal) and it enables connecting moving objects like buses and trains into the network. You

Apart from possible health effects, is anyone else concerned about 5G eventually being used for real-time CCTV surveillance networks with centralized facial recognition? The higher bandwidth (up to 10 Gbps) and higher cell density should su

Email delivery can easily be delayed 1-2 minutes. I’m not sure it’s the best method for an early warning system.

Whenever Apple finishes the app review, I suppose. It's a bit of a shame that people are running vulnerable versions of WhatsApp because Apple is taking its time.

I believe the events from that article happened before the NYT acquisition. At that time the Wirecutter was still a startup.

Parcel has 57 dependencies... (not even counting transient dependencies) That sort of defeats the purpose of switching from webpack. And for libraries: Why do you even need a bundler? Can you not distribute the library as multiple files?

For me the biggest problem is webpack. Do you know an alternative bundler with less dependencies and typescript support? I already use webpack without the webpack-cli package in most of my projects in order to avoid the extra dependencies.

Intel's Turbo Boost specification only allows for a few seconds of boosting. Of course you can overclock (letting it run longer than stock settings) if you have better cooling or if you won the silicon lottery. Furthermore, I think the

I would still wait for European DoH to be available (if ever). There's no way I'm sending my entire DNS traffic to the US or a US entity.

Does this apply even when you are not using Spectrum's DNS? I.e. do they modify the DNS responses of other DNS providers? I am not a customer of theirs, nor have I been a customer of an ISP that engages in such practice. As a EU citize

Did you ever have issues with local DNS caching after switching location? Did you ever have to run the following command to reset Apple's local DNS after switching? sudo dscacheutil -flushcache sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
