It could be that they were acting in good faith and paid some SEO agency/Guy unknowing what was going on.

It probably started with the guy adding something like "Edited using XXXX Editor tool" to make himself some publicity. Seeing that it worked he started selling those backlinks a fortune.

He's probably selling that service on blackhatworld

I think this is an important point. I would consider living in a remote area, but usually the internet access there goes from very slow to non-existing.

There is no mention of how the internet connectivity is.

I don't think Japan is visited by enough tourists for this to work. The article mentions 8.49 million vacant homes.

I am doing exactly that on a personal level. I have an unencrypted BTC wallet and one that is encrypted, the unencrypted one contains not that much and will tell me if my device has been compromised.

I hope the hinges are of good quality and can be easily replaced, my two last had massive hinge issues, and replacing them is no easy task.

I believe that HN is intervening manually. They can give it a up or a down push. Perhaps I could use the data to reverse engineer what is going on behind the scenes.

Perhaps I will do an article on it, I came up with some ingenious solutions.

The bitrate Earth/Mars is very low. It will take a lot more.

Who knows how 2021 will be. We should also prepare for a 536 type event. With 8 billion people to feed I wonder the effect it would have nowadays.

AZ is not given to people over the age of 65 in Germany because their clinical trial only included 18-65 year old patients. It is mainly given to healthcare personal.

Good point, hormonal birth control is very popular here in Germany

Interestingly it seems to mainly affect women. In Germany in over 90% of cases the blood clots occurred in Women.

You might not get the best price when buying on broker that uses pay for order flow.

Just open an account on some real broker website like DEGIRO that does not engage in to pay for order flow like RobinHood and Trade Republic do. I can still buy GME if I want to there, although I am not doing it.

What did you expect? When it is free you are the product. Robinhood uses pay for order flow, a system invented by Bernie Madoof to generate revenue. It is really time to leave this broker.

I also use DEGIRO, and it is a good broker, it doesn't do this scammy pay for order flow thing that Robinhood and Trade republic are doing, that said, I didn't buy GME and I would not recommend buying it.

It is likely that they have lend out the $GME shares to a hedge fund that went short, if this hedge fund goes bankrupt and the stock price continues to rise they will be in serious trouble.

Many brokers have lent the shares to hedge funds that went short on the stock. Now these hedge funds are on the verge of bankruptcy. If they default the brokers are in a lot of trouble.

Thanks, I think it would be great if HN would have more categories/tags. There is already the "Show HN" which is great. And then an option to hide/follow a certain tag/category.
