Last week there was that opponent of Putin who got poisoned and was sent to a hospital in Omsk and I was like: "Why do I know the name of that random Russian city ?".

Never thought I'd get sweaty hands from reading a Hacker News comment but here we are. I'm not claustrophobic at all but no way in hell I'm ever doing any spelunking voluntarily.

I live in relatively small city with a pretty extensive "pre-metro" network. Our trams ride part underground, part on seperate lines above ground and part on tracks embedded in the road. Visiting cities like Barcelona, Paris or Lo

I'm one of those semi-veg people. I tried it a few years ago as well and I agree it's a lot easier now than it was back then.

I use Hammerspoon which is a free tool that lets you run custom Lua scripts. Got a lot of keyboard shortcuts for moving windows around.

Smart jerks are the worst. I work with a few of them and they can really be insufferable. They interrupt every conversation (IRL or through Rocketchat) because they know absolutely everything about the subject you happend to be talking abou

I appreciate the sentiment but my phone now does so many things that I would really miss if I'd have to get rid of it. GPS and navigation, Mobile Banking, IM because nobody sends text messages anymore, Calendar and quick web searches a

Although I agree, there's also a lot of situations where I find a touchscreen works so much better than a keyboard and mouse. I absolutely love using Google maps on an iPad for example. Also my mother who is very very tech illiterate c

Seems like the website was hugged to death. Found the related video on youtube though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMxjHTTDcpI . My stupid brain wondered at first why flower vending machines were relevant on Hacker News.
