Keyboard lights were pretty useful for debuging back in Turbo Pascal days. XT had only 640K memory. Borland managed to fit IDE into this memory with code assistant and interactive debugger. But if your program consumed too much memory, IDE

60 degrees is not much, not really reaching full potential of that chip. I had i7 2600K at 5.0 GHzx. Water cooled, 90 degrees under full load. It worked for 5 years 24/7, until motherboard died last year, CPU still works. It is simple

I was not very precise. I actually meant heat-spreader instead of heat-sink. Kaby Lake has bad thermal conductivity between silicone and heat-spreader (metal top of CPU). If you crack-open the CPU and replace thermal paste, it will reduce t

Amazon would break the law, if their persisted data uploaded to their servers. Article implies they do that. (I am not lawyer)

In some states you need to notify all parties (or get their consent) before you record their voice. EULA does not cover it, your visitors did not signed it. Only way is to put label: "This area is monitored by CCTV"... Also record

Real WTF here is that Amazon is actually recording this. They break many laws by doing that. edit: Why downvotes? It is illegal to do voice recording without a consent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_recordin

Kaby Lake is not great for overclocking. You literally have to cut this CPU in half, to make it usable for OC. Better thermal paste between silicon and heatsink, will reduce temperatures by 10°C. But overclockable i3 Kaby Lake is interestin

Yet another obsession to 'put man somewhere'. Why this moon village could not be fully automated without human presence? I think this megalomaniac plans are choking real progress. Human presence was needed in 1960ties, not in 2020

My point is not about social justice, but leaving behind your mother in bad conditions.

I did not comment on some abstract fight, but on idea of leaving close relative alone in harsh conditions. Just send some money, buy her freedom, and do your jedi stuff after that. It is like fighting for social justice, while your children

I find it bit weird to derive any ethics from Star Wars. All characters change sides way too often (first rebels, then republic/empire, then again rebels, then again republic...). Dart Vader commits genecide and destroys a few planets

Absolutely no! 90% of educated population does not handle basic math (such as rule of proportions). History would dilute math even more. But it would be easier for teachers and students to 'pass'.
