If I'm understanding the article correctly, the hackers are using a easily reversed cypher for storing configuration data for their malware, which was reversed by assuming the presence of the string "C:\Windows\System". In th

I think this would be a good starting point for what you are trying to achieve: https://libsodium.gitbook.io/doc/public-key_cryptography/aut... The first example shows both sides of the communication. The public k

Another option would be to use colour correction gels like from Rosco. They publish transmission curves for their gels: https://emea.rosco.com/en/products/filters/r3220-double-blue... (click on the little i).

That's a point, I was assuming low impedance output stages as would be standard for any ordinary hifi equipment these days (but not necessarily for the really expensive stuff of course...). Some of the expensive cables are over-dimensi

At audio frequencies (and well beyond), you won't be able to measure any meaningful differences: https://www.lifewire.com/speaker-cables-make-a-difference-31... And the absurdity becomes much more obvious when contrast

That only shows differences in white balance and tone. It can't give you any information about the CRI since you only have 3 channels of colour sensors in your camera. If you use a colour swatch palette that would be different.

Has anyone seen a description of the "misconfiguration"? It appears that both iOS (is) and Android (will) ship mitigations which disable the existing keys, but I can't find a description of the actual issue.

You can measure all the differences in TV picture you described (and you didn't even mention colour gamut & dynamic range). You can measure the differences in optical glass. You can't measure the difference between a $10/

I doubt there's much market demand for 1000 quantity bottles of Ibuprofen in Germany. If you need daily pain killers I would expect the insurance to pay for (most of) them.
