There is also Fauna Query Language. I gave up on choosing a unique name. https://fauna.com/product/fql

If you’re building something front scratch, the architecture/modeling/abstraction work is done first. This sounds like a scaling issue, and a simpler one at that. As for harder problems, we’ve had to rearchitect parts of our softw

Strange take. These things are being put forward by major companies who hire very good engineers. Riot Games makes the most popular game in the entire world (League of Legends) and they use kernel-level anti-cheating. I interviewed with the

This is pretty standard for a human run system. Gotta make the human feel good about an idea before they can do said idea. If you’re not familiar with humans, there are several manuals available online.

Aren’t these already concerns now? A store could raise the price before you arrive and you’d be stuck with that price or need to go to another store.

Detached from YOUR reality. Not everyone dislikes their family, though I’m personally with you in that I wouldn’t want to live with mine.

This is not true. We’ve all observed how differently people behave online. The anonymity aspect creates different social outcomes. While there are arguments for preserving encryption, acting like online communication is the same as face to

This is a bit idealistic. The reasonable man can work the change the world slowly. He may not see change in his lifetime, but he can help move the needle.

Yes. I think these are related. I’ve struggled with depression for most of my life and “learned helplessness” is something that intuitively matches my thought patterns.

The only way an infinite canvas makes sense is if the diagram guides the user. You can’t rely on simply going to the next page anymore, so it does take some extra effort to get it right.

Regulation is part of the problem. I haven’t seen any evidence that 4-aco-dmt is any more dangerous than psilocybin, so regulating either drug would work just as effective IMO.

This is a place where “intention” matters to the courts. A lot of these laws require the platform to make a “best effort” at preventing illegal uploads. YT is making an effort and claiming it’s their best.

I work in this space and there is still a ton of illegal content on YT. As stated earlier, the main difference is that YT complies when infringements are eventually found.

This narrative is seen way too often. “Here is how a drug affected me so get ready for it to affect you the same way.” Gets really tiring if you browse drug forums.

I thought this as well, but I also think it depends on how you’ve structured your code. If errors aren’t used by the algorithm (they’re just used for early exit) then yes it won’t make a big difference, but if your algorithm is handling err

I’d rather use JMES Path (or jq even tho it’s messier) to restructure my data rather than some mixture of awk, sed, cut, etc. Line output often needs restructuring in my experience, though JSON will always need it.

From the example, it appears you still need to setup schema yourself using SQL. This makes the library a leaky abstraction because it only partially hides the SQL.

I assumed dada is using promises under the hood, just as JS is. If this is the case it could provide a static method for waiting on multiple promises, just as JS does.
