Honest question as I don't know almost anything about modern computer graphics: Is it so much performance penalty to upload a small texture to GPU so you can't render the whole string to the texture in 2D and just display the text

Some operations are best with keyboard (i.e. moving, zooming, panning, duplicating, acessing panels) and you need modifier keys quite often. You can map one or two to the stylus buttons, but that may not be sufficient

While still useful to have a native tool, you can use WSL to mount a sshfs path in windows. I even use it for LUKS containers.

> if you want to have consistent behavior with classic HTML/HTTP apps Why is that desirable? I see it more like a limitation of server-rendered web apps. Many times you can show useful UI before actual data is fully loaded (i.e. sea

If it's true, it's not GDPR. GDPR explicitly does not apply to personal use. There can be other laws that apply here. I am not a lawyer.

Very bad example. Wall clock battery can last a decade. Any isolated power supply will waste much more energy. Also the clock will stop when the power is out.

Oh, I never considered e-mail as generally stressful. Certainly there are e-mails that can raise my blood pressure, but that usually happens after reading them. I see e-mail mostly as a letter, that I open when I see fit and answer when I c

Is it specific to screens tho? How does it compare to reading a book, writing a letter by hand, sewing, cutting vegetables for lunch, curiously disassenbling an alarm clock or any other activity that requires focus and concentration?

To work around N+1 is to write all your database layer functions in form of getFoosByIds(id[]) instead of getFooById(id). This allows you to easily compose the loads when you have subresources. It's similar to what the author is doing,

I had warts for years as a kid, I had one large on my left palm, that somehow transferred to the same place on right palm and a few little on fingers. Cryotherapy did not help as they grew back soon. Supposedly anti-wart band-aids did not w

Maybe I remember it wrong, but I think Mozilla said it is unacceptable in any form and they will not even consider it. I don't like the google way either, but Mozilla is stubborn here and Apple fights for control over app market.
