Those are all object oriented features. I was trying to compare O.O. to golang's approach. I like the fact that you are forced to look at the algorithm vs the class hierarchy. I like that you don't have to read through factories.

Ok. So idiomatic go returns multiple values with an intention to return an error type. I guess fmt.Printf() is an exception. For the most part, it does as well as C does.

I like go because it's not object oriented. This forces me to read the implementation of the algorithm, not follow an abstraction hierarchy. I like Java as well. It can be difficult to read the implementation when you are surrounded wi

The people being excited by a language have nothing to do with what the language is like. I see Go as a C-like language with some of the annoyances cut out and a garbage collector added. You don't have pointer arithmetic, but you still

I don't think there is anything wrong with Java as a language, but I have a question for you. Does Java's concurrency engine allow for many threads like Go or is it similar to C# in how your threads are not lightweight and are the

That is only one way of doing things. Even though channels facilitate that method, it is not unidiomatic to not use them. Channels are a way of queueing work, which is great for many use cases. You can use mutexes and shared memory if your

This reminds me of that one guy on the go-nuts irc channel who asked for help with his Ruby port over to Go. He was scraping a set of web pages in Ruby and migrated that over to Go for its easy parallelization. His claim was that Go was 3x

War Z is the only one I heard of. The game in question is Rome Total War II. It is from a more reputable publisher even though they apologized for the bugs and I waited for the first patch to solve this very well known issue.

Yes it does. It's worth bringing up. If you go through the trouble of installing an OS whose existence is based on this policy, you should know if your rights as a consumer will be ignored.

How do you scale with Docker? I get the idea of how containers work. I get the idea of how it shares resources between like containers. That's all very cool. My question is how do I scale a docker container? It's not well cov

I would like to see people banding together to get refunds. It appears that the competition was a sham. The prize was a lot of money as well. That should set some alarms off when you enter a 3 day competition.

You are right. This has nothing to do with native apps. It is just a css/js framework mostly leaning on angular. When you see the word native, you expect native code. According to this framework, I can call any responsive site native.

That's if you sign the data. If you just run Decrypt, it does not ask for a hash function. Under the hood, it uses Sha-1. Edit: Here is a link to the golang implementation http://golang.org/pkg/crypto/rsa/

RSACryptoServiceProvider uses Sha-1. It does not ask for a hash function. I learned this recently while trying to port over a client C# program to Golang.

Killing off weak encryption is absolutely necessary. Sha-1 is hard-coded into their RSA implementation in the dotnet library. Without doing this in a total way, they wouldn't be able to do it at all. Now all the internal Microsoft fie
