Agreed, but in this specific case Gnome had some performance issues that are addressed by the 18.10 / 19.04 update that really help with quality of life. Hopefully 20.04 will be snappy enough that I can use the huge support window for

Installed this last night a couple of hours early. Compared to 18.04, boot times and the ui seems a lot snappier because of some gnome updates. This was the reason I did the upgrade so I'm pretty happy. Haven't tested on my laptop

Its funny to read this today. I'm working my way through Atlas Shrugged and the utopia in the book is the opposite: pure self interest > greater good, and there is a 'for the public good' apocalypse taking place. It seems

Personally, I don't want backups. I don't want to worry whether some joke I made 10 years ago would look bad in a future data dump. If messages could self destruct after three years that would be lovely

Transfer of liability? There are candid emails between Steve jobs and Schmidt about the topic. Edit: They made a minor settlement and there was a lawsuit that got a tiny amount of press. http://time.com/42322/steve-jobs

Its unfortunate. The bad actors that created the problem the app tries to help with also make people very untrusting. I wish you luck with that one. A verifiable 'code available' license would be a bonus
