LinkedIn is so spammy, I hate it. The recruiters don't even read your profile, and you feel like a jungle explorer trying to find how to turn off all the notifications

I know its for-profit, but I hope members of the Gnome community pitch in where they can. This phone would be a big deal if it was a success. If I wasn't so busy lately, it would be neat to try to get the Anki AppImage working on it

Apparently SR&ED in specific is an amazing subsidy, it can fund almost half of your R&D labour spending IIRC?

There appears to be a lot fewer very high paying jobs too. I have known some people who have made $250+, but it (anecdotally) seems very rare and was usually related to oil and gas money that is disappearing lately

I used to use android and I had my voice assistant turned off. When I switched to iPhone and enabled Siri, it was because I thought Apple was different. This recent news has made me feel a little gross. A voice assistant has negative value

MBSR is well studied and proven, but it’s worth noting that meditation has only recently become an area of medical research. If we insisted on the rule that we only try what is proven through research, meditation would have “gone extinct” t

Sometimes when I have insomnia I sort of daydream instead of sleeping. When I get up, I am more rested than the 3-4 hours or actual sleep would suggest. I had wondered if the daydreaming was similar enough to sleep to be a poor substitute

Apparently a non trivial percent of the population gets by with 5-6 hours due to having a certain gene. I had assumed it was quite rare, but found out that I know several of them. They are more awake during the day than I am.
