The tool claims to take that into account, it breaks it down in the "show report" button. Liftoff is 3 tons of CO2.

I don't know, being able to directly vote against things seems like it helps with that, you can spend a few points to vote against fringe ideas you don't like and still spend most of your points for things you do like.

Overly provocative title. But QV seems interesting. I found qv.geek.sg and quadraticvote.co as webapp implementations. qv.geek.sg is a little sleeker/more Strawpoll-like, here's an "election" I made for choosing the best

Tumblr hasn't added ActivityPub support yet. I think more likely is that few people would really migrate in the first place. What killer feature would do such a thing? People just make accounts where their friends and interests are. I

She's a machine and she's intelligent, so by sci-fi tropes she's an AI. There's even people who thinks brain scans/emulations will be how AGI is created, which I personally find very unlikely.

Cross-training doesn't always help, I think the architecture is still being worked out. I can't remember the name of it but Google had some multimodal model they released a paper for, maybe six months or a year ago, and it did sli

That linked article says 0.5% of adults and 1.4% of teenagers are transgender. Maybe you misread the stat that says 18% of transgender people are teenagers, compared to 7.5% of the general population being teen-aged. I think there's so

You're presuming a 1. a meritocracy, that only the most skilled people move up 2. that the skills needed for school are the same skills that allow you to move up. I don't think these are necessarily safe assumptions.

What do you mean? Talk therapy makes the assumption that depression/anxiety is not solely biological/chemical, and that the therapy will in some way alter the patient's mindset, lifestyle choices, environment, etc.

Personally, I like reading and usually prefer to read a book I like instead of a book I don't like, so the existence of more books I like would be cool. I expect I would still read human-written fiction, too. Many authors are already &

I don't think this is really an issue with written work in particular. Thousands of novels I won't like already exist, I already have to rely on personal recommendations and samples, a million more novels I won't like is fine

Some TTS, like Tortoise-TTS or 15.ai are decent at timing and stress, though I think they're generally more at "read an audiobook if supervised" level, and not "be a voice actor, unsupervised" level.
