I've been looking around for (post-grad) internships for the last few weeks. The most successful tactic so far has been to just email and ask directly. Make sure to link to some existing projects that you can show off so they know you won't

I think by the point that we can banish aging technological self-improvement will have overtaken evolution by a long way. We already severely handicap evolution by using medicine to compensate for disadvantageous features such as short-sigt

Maybe with some more features. I take a lot of notes when studying so being able to search and tag notes would be handy. Backups are nice when your notes are valuable. It would also save me carrying around huge binders full of paper.

However, neither of the notices in the repo at the moment seem to be valid. Both are takedowns of circumvention tools which, as wtallis points out above, are covered in a different section of the DMCA to copyright takedowns.

The US has a class of visas (J1) specifically for trainees and interns. I don't think they are capped like the H1B so they should be easier to get.

It looks like both the linked post and the quora post are complaining about problems with the qualification round. There is no mention of the fact that the following round was in fact suspended entirely after the submission server fell over

On the other hand, being in the same room all day all week can be incredibly depressing. I've done it in the past and prefer any kind of office to working at home for extended periods.

JobScore requires details such as an address and a US landline number. This is fairly unnecessary and also annoying if, like me, you have neither. Even selecting a country is problematic.

Are you aware of http://libswift.org/ ? The goals are different (swift is targeted more at bittorrent/multicast) but I think there is a lot of potential for crossover between the two projects.
