And I think most users would be aware of this yes. But should they be expected to understand that this location data is different to the other location data and isn't secured at all by the "share your location" permission?

Stupid? Perhaps in some cases. But are you perhaps expecting to much of a layperson? How are they supposed to know that the "access photos" permissions overrides the "location" permission because the "location"

Something I also do which guards against social engineering attacks is that I have a set of fake answers for common "secret questions". These exist nowhere but in my head. I figure it's a extra obfuscation step and could very

That's a very old looking HDD. It seems odd that his most recent work would be on that.

I meant important public services being farmed out to incompetent private suppliers is the norm.

Having used Kids pass. It's a pointless product anyway. Snake oil. All the "deals" are just links to PDFs, many of which have no barcodes and the ones that do are just generic barcodes that don't relate to a particular K

Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't. It depended on the quality of the cassette deck and also how crappy the tape was you were recording to. Me and my friend often used to try high speed dubbing but that rarely yielded good results.

This is what I came here to say. It's easy to draw freehand. It's painfully slow to draw with ASCII.

The UK is still an active member of the EU. We haven't left yet.

Sure. You can argue that it was democratic, but I personally do not choose to lose my citizenship, therefore my citizenship is being taken from me, forcibly.

Yet another reason to be sad about having my EU citizenship forcibly removed. The UK government want the exact opposite of this.

We're heading towards needing to travel sans devices if we want any kind of privacy, but then doing so in itself could be seen as cause for suspicion.

I don't understand why people refuse to understand this. I could care less = I care some amount. Possibly a lot. I couldn't care less = I care no amount. I do not care.

Not only that, if you're downgraded and the policy is to refund the difference then you as a customer shouldn't have to ask for a refund, it should just happen. As a business, you literally could not get away with this kind of beh

Genuine question as I don't own any of these devices. Is there no setting for locking the device activation to one or more specific voices? This is surely a technical possibility and from a security point of view it is surely the sensi

This is crazy. I never realised this. Here in the UK I switch ISPs regularly to take advantage of new customer discounts, cashback incentives etc. I'd never dream of sticking with an ISP longer than I contractually had to.
