Work with some code on github. With any luck you'll attract the interest of a startup or recruiter. Be careful though. If they can get away with it, people will always try and get the most out of you for the least amount of money.

I'm currently debating whether to release the source to one of my dead projects, so the reasoning in this article is quite intriguing.

The keyboard autocomplete is not really so secret: i managed to somehow activate it on the Japanese keyboard without changing any preference files.

Sometimes i wish more people would care more about making good products rather than the next buzzword middleware stack which solves everything.

I was thinking something like this would come in handy the other day. Goes to show if you have an idea, chances are someone else is already thinking about it.

Sounds great if you do work which can be done in the terminal or a slow 256-color vnc session. Otherwise i'll be sticking with my Macbook.

A long while ago i did something similar, exporting an animated scene from blender ( http://www.cuppadev.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/walk.ht... ). For reference, the script i made: https://github.com/jamesu/csstransformexport (note

I'd love something similar for IRC logs. I know there are all those joke irc log analysers, but they seem to be mainly for channel logs.

Personally i think this is great for running existing C codebases in the browser, the prime example being games. Good news for say... the chromebook.

A while back i decided to forego my pseudoname in order to look more professional. This has led to many problems: for one, conflicts. It seems every other month people mistake me for someone else with the same name. Either that or yet anoth

Personally speaking, I don't target IE6 for the same reason i don't target IE1,2,3,4 or 5: I don't have the capability or resources to do it. I guess that must make me a bad web developer then!

I'm not quite sure what this offers over jekyll apart from a few more tags and a slightly more opinionated deployment strategy. I was half expecting a combination of the wordpress admin panel + jekyll backend (kind of like gollum except for

I find a lot of people complain "C++ is too complicated", but personally i don't think its that hard to get your head around... apart from the cryptic template handling. Some of my more interesting projects are C++ based so i have a feeling
