You said above, "...local laws demand each verification to be enumerated and not editable." That suggests a good value from open-sourcing where you can get 3rd party validation on your operations and security.

This is lovely. There have been a few projects floating around HN aimed at personal CRM lately, and I could see this being an excellent interface for such a thing. I'd love to know more: how is the data being stored / how configur

Here's a write-up I did on the extended set, including camping gear, dutch oven, etc. It's not all part of the go bag. https://blog.tomasino.org/zombie-survival-kit.html

It's about 30-35lbs. It's kind of shaped like a bowling bag. It's not designed to strap on my back and go hiking, but to toss in the car. The MREs are pretty tiny and last about 5 years. We refresh them every now and again. P

We keep an emergency "go bag" in the front hall closet with tools necessary for basic survival. Included in that are 6 weeks worth of MREs for the family, water filtration system, water storage (fill it in a tub), rope, shovel, sa

What a fantastically designed and executed site! I love the attention to detail all the way across the responsive sizes. Great work.

I see the note about rendering with a custom font. Will that screw up recording for those with special fonts being used (powerline for example)? How does it play with ncurses displays, or even tmux? I assume vim session recording is fine?

If I read that correctly--and I most likely did not--it seems that he's making the argument that a misunderstanding of semantics and clear definitions lead to poor implementation of DI, IoC, and DIP. The final case seems to mostly addr

As someone who knows nothing about Elementary OS, you are correct. I dug into the blog a bit and all I can tell is that it's Ubuntu with some Gnome skins. Why would I pay money for a free OS? What's the purpose? What need is this

I would have loved it if the gif was a demo that actually showed slate being used in some fashion, not just demonstrating vim's ability to open a text file.

Yeah, I'm not looking to put things in the global scope, but rather to avoid using AMD module loading. I'm looking for a way to explicitly load the individual JS files in the proper order. Maintaining namespacing is great.

You reminded me with your talk of MUDs of the growing IF (interactive fiction) movement. It's not multi-user, but it has a lot of the feel of those old text adventures. If that's interesting to you, I'd recommend trying out B

I was watching virtual-dom a while back when the documentation was less clear. It's an exciting bit of code and I love the way it tries to solve one specific problem. My challenge to use is require.js, though. Has anyone seen a fork of

It's interesting that you chose not to encrypt the titles of the entries. I suppose that's so that it's easier for us to browse back in time and find an entry without having to decrypt them all? Things I noted: - Each entry g

Agreed. I had to run a test party and login as a guest in order to find out it expected a YouTube link. That should probably be more visible. Since the sources seem similar to Blip.FM, you might check how they handle this.
