I am a fellow lawyer and I have known Neil for a long time now. He is very highly qualified and impressive in action. I think you'd be in safe hands.

Probably not, actually. Why? They are not developers, they're artists. They will learn and use the tools available to them. If even a fraction of the effort that developers put into improving their own tools actually went into improvin

Word's built in compare feature works fine these days, in my experience. It handles changes/moves pretty well now too. Assuming your employer has a recent version of Word, not an ancient one because that's what works with all

Looks good once the 404 issue is fixed. Perhaps for a future release you could tag / filter sources by country? A big problem for me in recipe search is avoiding localisation issues (e.g. Having to do all the conversions from cups; rem

Yes, fair observation. The hacker mentality is a good way to describe it. I think AI will keep us very busy over the next decade. There are a lot of individual issues of a legal nature where AI creates some non-trivial challenges (equality

What's the state of the restaurant management software scene? Any scope for an open source restaurant management system? Could be a good side-hustle. Edit: Just googled and found TastyIgniter. https://github.com/tastyi

I see what you are saying, but I think that there's a contradiction in your argument. The fact that /much of/ (i.e. not all) software engineering is plumbing and project management implies that there's still a nucleus w
