Non-field-programmable - what were called ULAs (Uncommited Logic Array - tellingly, wikipedia redirects to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gate_array ). These are chips with a large grid of gates, which they have in comm

It's clearly simulated annealing. You stir less as you get tired. :)

Because if there's more than one of you working on the same project, you want to keep your plugin versions in sync too, I assume.

To cut a long story short: Yes, most applications can just be ported. The number of applications that rely on the actual clock rate being steady is extremely close to zero. Bear in mind nearly everything runs fine on laptop machines, which

No idea where you got the "needs 3.3v" from, but no, it runs off 5V the same as the Pi 3.

Something more general. I got signed out, and I've never used TravisCI.

Buried in the FAQ and not in the changelog for some reason:- As of 0.68, PuTTY will no longer fall back to SSH-1 if the server doesn't appear to support SSH-2; you must explicitly ask for SSH-1.

UK kettles can be 3500W, which makes quite a difference. Our kettles are massively better than stovetops.

Unfortunately, there's two SD interfaces on the board, and the one that does eMMC (or the SD card on a normal Pi) can only do storage and can't do SDIO. The 2nd interface is used for the wireless on the Pi 3, but that one's b

I wonder if the forced phase-change the confinement causes applies to other contexts? Could we use a similar trick to force superconductive materials into their low-temperature superconductive phase at higher temperatures? (Repost of the sa

Generation 7 produced a perfect result here. I think the underlying problem is just too easy, really.

I wonder if you could use this to do extremely low bandwidth video conferencing. Send a network configuration at connect time (relatively expensive) but for each frame, send the convolution network parameters, and deconvolve at the receivin

I've got a couple of Novenas. It's good for development except for web-browsing; for whatever reason firefox and chromium are both pretty sluggish on it. Everything else seems fine; I suspect that it's mostly down to video

Seems like. It's a fairly practical model for a lot of simpler devices. I've seen dedicated mouse controllers along similar lines. Microchip themselves produce a number of devices that I'm sure are PIC-based internally too.
