I feel exactly the opposite. To explain, programming became very tedious, looking through endless lines of code, and lately it appears everything is generated, and not making sense of it. With programming bots I can focus on what I want rat

No shit. I was doing this, at internet scale, 10+ years ago. Guess what, then we calculated there were around 1.1 real humans on the internet.

>We all have to start somewhere, and the manuals that came with that install were priceless to me. I made a comment above and it's worth repeating again, the manual was indispensable.

Bought my copy at a flea market. Installed it on my Compaq, 233mhz or so, 128mb. Got it going by booting the system using the floppy. The article doesn't mention it much, but the distribution came with a booklet helping you install the

Somewhat related thought ... whenever you hear the phrase "be nice" it means don't rock the boat or simpler go away and let me keep or keep doing what I or we want. The people in power use this to tell others to f off essenti

More money in the company pocket. More work for the people who did the migration and now maintaining their own cloud. Then when the people who put this together leave, the rest are stuck with one of a kind cloud. Maybe a good idea, but if

Somewhat related thought ... a big part of existence is predicated, bear with me, on delayed gratification. We are constantly being asked to wait so we can get something, something more or something better. Go to school to learn to get bett
