Silevo seems already have industry grade panels at 21% efficiency. That's quite a lot in home/utility panels: http://sroeco.com/solar/most-efficient-solar-panels (13 - 17%) I can't find easily the price&

If Apple cares about maps maybe it should acquire Planet Labs ( http://www.planet.com/ ) to compete with Google?

I would say a lot depends on reason why you dropped out of colleague. Even Zuckerberg was very reluctant to do that, but Facebook growth took too much of his attention. That much different than lack of self discipline/just getting bore

A lot of open source looks like that. I would add "docracy" - the person who is doing the work by default is making the calls.

Yeah the energy density is the most important factor. If it's not competitive there will be some niche market for fast recharging, but lithium is good enough in many use cases.

Way too much simplifying, what if: 1. Web app got same performance as native. 2. There would no be a feature gap (e.g. payment access to hardware). We already see that web apps are eating native on desktop, where both 1&2 are not that i

If you would like to have a look on something more tailored to log data, feel free to try: http://www.sumologic.com/ It's more flexible, but by default pure huge batch processing will be slower.

It looks like life time value is the largest unknown. Especially, the churn rate. Some companies like Workday are harder to replace, but some like Box are vurnable to being replaced by consumer/add-on (Dropbox/Google Drive).

That's even better of use heap than for web pages. Usually for any web development it's so much easier/faster to deploy new version than release new version of mobile application.

Most of small business lacks of any feedback communicate channel other than public one. Private channel might help. Also associating client with receipt is a huge win. Business may offer some compensation, like discount coupon.

Congratulations on launch! It would be nice if you could add some latency benchmark against common alternatives like S3. A lot of ppl use that for static webpages, but I wonder how lack of CDN affect the user experience.

Raw materials for battery cost: 80 KW/hour. Historical cost of batteries (2012) 600 KW/hour... Looks like Gigafactory is going to take advantage of that difference. http://takingpitches.com/2012/09/22

I had to switch to aria2c for fetching larger from AWS S3 (50-150 MB). Otherwise a small peecent of downloads were slow (in EC2), b/c most other fetchers have really poor retry logic.
