I assume you're taking a shot at Apple the company. Not sure what the basis for making the comparison to a cult is and having escaped from an actual cult myself I find the comparison disingenuous and insulting. Apple sells products man

Different strokes, different folks. Personally, I like that people in my town know me. Gossip goes around, sure, people know more about me than I might be comfortable with but in general that establishes in the long run a familiarity that w

I can't speak to the intent of the post you responded to, but to me constants are by definition read-only and so it sounded a little redundant to me

Brooklyn is a big place, and the person you're replying to did just say his neighborhood… probably little data available on any scale let alone the scale of one's neighborhood, aside from anecdotal.

That would be something like giving someone a large bucket of ice to protect oneself from their house burning down around them. (obviously not a perfect analogy, but a tank of CO2? Seriously? SMH)

I don't think I would entirely agree with that. Surely it depends on the developer. I can build a traditional CLI program faster than I can arrange a GUI for an equivalent program in something like interface builder although I've

That's exactly the problem. The private key and the password are effectively 1-1. So if you can phish the password, you have the private key. This solves nothing.
