Well, d'uh, you don't get your money back, period. That's the first thing I learned when reading their FAQs and other pages. It's like a donation towards something that you find great/interesting/useful, with the added benefit of some kind

My first thought: increased endurance. Would this injection work while breathing, for an increased oxygen flow to organs?

I'd really wish some sites would not force me to change the password every other month or every time I clear my cookies or use a different IP: every time, I have to use a simpler password because I just can't come up with a better one witho

I remember how adults used to dumb things down for me or simply ignore me on matters they thought "a kid wouldn't understand", that's why I have a simple policy when talking with children/teenagers: treat them as if they're at the same leve

You know what's more interesting? The fact that the Australian government is nowhere to be found when it comes to this - or at least, there's no mention of their involvement. I still can't decide whether I like that or not - on the one hand

I know a lot of people believe Putin saved Russia, but I gotta say, having the same people in power for too long is never a good thing: they get comfortable, they lose their focus, things get stagnant and everything goes downhill from there

That's pretty awesome, though I wonder how they achieved that efficiency from simple compressed air (surely a pack of Li-Ion batteries of the same volume would do better?). Regardless, you can compress air yourself all day long using solar

Eh, even if they get him, it's not like it's going to change much for WikiLeaks - the platform will go on, probably stronger than before. The politicians will pat themselves on the back for a "good job" catching Assange, while the leaks go

I was thinking, "why not just buy a standing desk?" But then I saw the prices :-). Well, if you have the right tools, you can build quite a great adjustable desk, but you'll need more than IKEA. Off the top of my head, here's some things th

That's amazing - I wonder how the work is progressing now? I didn't even know you could breathe any inert gas as long as it has enough oxygen in it until I read this article...

Haha, Youtube seems exempt from most filters - I get completely unrelated videos in the top 2-3 spots all the time. Come to think of it, that's pretty sad...

Oh man, they should've never started with copyright removals in the first place (although I get that it's near impossible to do). This new filter has the same abuse potential as "negative SEO", where competitors posted so many spam links to

Most of the photos taken by government-operated equipment are free for use - take advantage of that now, while there are few private companies operating the telescopes and rovers :-)...

Well, I'm glad I don't use GoDaddy - I'm always paranoid when searching for a domain name, though - if I find a good one, I tend to register it right away out of fear that it might be taken right after the search. Guess there's some truth t

Interesting read. I certainly agree that Comic sans nudges me towards disbelief (and I'd never read a full article written in this horrible font :-)), while Georgia seems more 'professional' and believable. Baskerville in my mind is instant

well, what do you expect, red trees and volcanoes :-)? Mars is kind of a dead planet, and the most interesting things you can see are the dust devils and maybe/hopefully, ice formations.

My thoughts exactly - Venus seems like a better place to start interplanetary exploration with - as I understand, if you could cool it down to an acceptable temperature, you could walk on the surface with just a breathing apparatus, right?

The Venus photos are simply awesome (the probe definitely deserves more recognition :-)), as are those from Mars. It's a shame we can't just hitch a ride to either of the planets to explore them and see them with our own eyes...

Maybe after the main objectives are completed, NASA could recover some of the money by drawing people/companies' names/logos on the ground, then taking pictures and sharing them online :-)

In socialist Europe, banks own YOU! :-). But seriously, the banks screw with their customers so much over here that this is just another bump on the road. To me, "proud to only accept Visa" sounds like "F@#k you MasterCard and your users,

What the? I'm surprised they could actually pull this off - they must've spent a lot of money on it. In Europe, MasterCard is much more popular than Visa (the latter is used mostly for credit cards, and most Europeans use debit cards) - I'm
