It would probably be interesting to know what type of companies these are. I see the majority has voted $0 salary. Are these companies that have employees, office space, payroll, etc? Or are these projects that one or two friends are wor

Ah, so much for Wikipedia! Well I guess that goes to prove my point even further than CEOs can appear to be making no salary but are actually receiving tons of money.

Yes this article is somewhat misleading in my opinion. I would imagine that a lot of CEOs only pay themselves a fraction of their income through typical payroll. Steve Jobs famously paid himself $1 salary. Although in his case he apparen

Does anybody know what technology is used for the Spotify desktop apps? I was poking around to see if I could figure it out. It seems like something perhaps written in C with a hybrid of widget toolkit and HTML. I was just curious becaus

This happened to me last year. A young guy with a wife and two kids hit his head getting out of a cab and died a few days later from sudden complications. He was the life of the party type of guy, kinda like the Kramer of the group. Real

Exactly - a great programmer would put his/her ego aside and become any one of these stereotypes if the situation demanded it. Sometimes it may be prudent to keep some old tech running. Other times it may be better to push the boundar

Hehe, no worries. It probably is somewhat due to our generations, but it may also be that as you age your salaries naturally will begin to diverge. And with a certain amount of success it's not exactly smart to go around broadcasting

I suppose it is true that when we turn 40 our brains rot. All we care about is keeping kids off of our lawn and catching the early-bird special. Many people don't like to share their salary - not because they wouldn't "dare&

They mention the compatibility of the projects unit tests with their own testing so perhaps WordPress has some things in their test setup that didn't fit. They mentioned CakePHP as another example that wasn't included.

It would seem more fair to charge for the privilege of making calls (either access to a talking area, or a seat in a talking area). But, of course it would probably be an easier sell to say "hey, pay an extra $50 so that you don't
