It would be easier if his posts were only bizzare or incoherent. Even his messia complex would probably be forgivable. The condescending, rude and racist things he says are just extremely hard to overlook. Giving one person a free pass at

If you look into composer and start writing code using and contributing packages, you may be surprised at how similar modern PHP development is to other popular languages. Also look at the PSR standards, especially for auto loading at htt

I think there's a big difference between being frugal and cheap, and it somewhat has to do with personal style and creativity. Somebody with no taste and a need to show off might require a $300k super car because they feel like that&#

I love seeing new, interesting work done with PHP. I'm particularly interested in ORMs so I'll definitely give this a try. Thanks for sharing.

I thought that was a bit annoying too. And it's also underscore delimited, when there is already a similar function for XML which is ExtractValue()

An interesting column to add to this would be the amount of funding raised, if known.

This is pretty much exactly how binary newsgroups got started. Not to be all "I thought of it first" but I had thought it would be funny to do something similar on Twitter.

I wrote a simple Wordpress plugin that works with RSS feeds. In addition to aggregating fees, Pipes has been a go-to solution when people report feeds that are malformed, have some weird characters or anything that chokes the Wordpress RSS

Interesting idea, it seems a bit harsh! I just ignore any negative response - figuring they are showing their true colors and that I made the right choice.

The do not call list has an exception for robo-campaign call. Isn't it interesting that our lawmakers would put in such an exception?

I wouldn't have a problem with that but the terms specifically mention surveys and special offers.

It is an employees market when it comes to developers at the moment. Developers are lured by interesting projects, flexible schedules, money, work environment, etc. so you just have to promote whatever of those you are able to offer.

I'd agree it would have been nice to have given at least some stock options to employees. The $300k bonus for staying 6 months, though, is a lot more than what one should expect to get when joining a startup. (Zero would be the usual

My traditional chemo was $20,000 for each treatment, twice per month. Much more expensive than $100k per year. I'm lucky to have insurance, so I didn't bear the cost. The insurance company paid a substantially lower amount for

On the other hand, $20,000 for national publicity is probably a deal. It looks like the site is running again using only fantasy money. An interesting thought is that the site itself wasn't making any money on the trades when there was

The culture in the U.S. Is very much pro-seatbelt. Grizzly TV and billboard ads run all the time (in fact I just saw one last night). The slogan here is "click it or ticket" and police will ticket you for not wearing your belt.
