You'll see that in the Elements panel, it actually puts a grey " == $0" after the selected element to point you towards this feature. Also, $1 is the previously selected element, $2 is the one before that, etc.

Yep… this is why the “thank goodness these functions aren’t colored!” people confuse me. Colored functions are a very good thing , they make it explicit where context switches happen and make understanding async interactions easy . People

Not the parent and not a “dualist”, but I sometimes like to engage in thought experiments comparing us to intelligent entities on a webpage that have been given access to a REPL on their current context: We discovered document.body.innerHTM

Neat that the Roomba is written in a lisp. It has it’s quirks and hiccups, but on the whole is extraordinarily well designed, standing head and shoulders above the usual slew of “home automation” products I wouldn’t touch with a 10’ pole. T

I’m not aware of an analog for Integral control in standard bike/car suspension. Integral control is steady state loss minimization, and the precise steady state position isn’t a big deal for most suspension systems. An exception could

A good demonstration of the perils of Proportional-only control -- if the only input to the system is only the instantaneous distances to obstacles, the car can't make any decisions that take into account its momentum. This means it&#x

I remember doing this with some homework assignments back in college, the very many filler words available in English make it pretty easy. The linked text uses copious fillers and doesn’t even maintain the same width across paragraphs.
