Then you're familiar with the process of getting a DUNS number. Because that is a massive barrier for individual devs and small teams. That is actual legal paperwork. Not having to do that makes the process significantly easier. It

If you read the article you'd see that this is a separate account type that does not have a submission fee or require legal documents. It also doesn't prevent you from side loading. It's just part of the current scare screen

Yeah the comment you're replying to feels very insulated from the real world. It's the kind of thing you'd hear in a middle school social studies class about how great America is.

This feels very broad strokes. It's like saying Germany is bad because of Nazi Germany. That's not to excuse terrible actions but that these histories are long with a variety of leaders and popular beliefs. So viewing a country as

I think we were moving in that direction. But when Newsom starting posting snark on social media they all fell back in line. People want to be on the winning side. Given the enforcement of the dichotomy they pick one.

The past decade kinda proves this to not be the case though. I think you're conflating constitutional amendments with laws as well to make a point when it's simply a bad comparison. It's like comparing the UK prime minister t

Agreed. Personally I really like asciidoc but hardly anything supports it. Markdown is just everywhere. In all the tools I use and all the most popular tools available. So it's far easier to use when it's so portable. So I only ne

I think you misunderstood what I said. I am saying I don't see how that's not a fixable problem. How often do you need constant O2 readings? What places are phones not permitted but Apple Watches are? Seems like a highly niche pro

Correct. The sensor was the same in the Series 10 and Ultra 2 because in territories outside the US it worked just fine. Similar to how Samsung offer blood pressure readings in certain countries but in others the function is blocked at the

I don't see why that's a problem. They can still record the data on the watch and then when it reconnects to the phone it can send over the data for the analysis. Same as how they store metrics on the watch until it reconnects to

To be fair, this is something Apple has been doing since the beginning. "Oh cool tech you have there, would be a shame if we just copied it and made sure you got nothing."
