I think you should usually practice what you preach. I did a HTTP/2 test on their server and it doesn't support it.

Yes, support and peace of mind. Packages that make it into their repository are fully tested and supported by RH. Almost all of them are old but they are pretty much guaranteed stable and Red Hat will support the software until the EOL of

I did this a couple years ago. It was pretty enjoyable and I learned quite a bit about Linux that I still apply almost every day.

Does your income come from donations or is there another revenue source? I ask because OP said that successful meant "provides the majority of the person's income" in this context. I'm curious if donations were enough

I think the problem is that it's not a very useful graph. I think breaking out the overall IT into other areas would make more sense with smaller percentages being shown as "Other".

As a previous web developer, I had the most success with the 1 to 2 person companies and with companies that were 20+ employees. It was the SMB in the middle range there that were trouble. The small-town-successful companies.

Gas gauges our pretty inaccurate anyways. So are the "miles left" that newer cars display.

I think people that have never had to buy an off-contract or replacement phone don't realize the actual cost of the device.

I think the updating of the page title in the browser tab is the main feature. Also, the favicon updates. So you can be doing something in another tab and see the timer in the timer tab.

I'm curious too. I can't think of any reason I would use this. Maybe to use during an online course or something, but most of them offer a way to do that already.

Not OP, but I've heard of people getting hijacked and finding a bunch of VPSs spun up sending out spam and other malware related stuff. Maybe that's what they mean.

A fairly powerful, fanless computer with a 6 year warranty that can run multiple 4K displays for less than a well built MBPro is probably worth it to quite a few people. Besides people who just "want" a fanless PC, there are lab

These are meant to be industrial computers. To be used for things such as being the brains of an automation system.

This is actually one of the few types of examples that I think fit here. Most of the other people are just posting their side projects. When I clicked this I was expecting some quick bash/batch/python/etc. scripts that do u

There was a small discussion recently (last week maybe?) about having a site similar to the old fuckedcompany. I'm guessing that's why it made any traction.

The star button on Github is kind of similar to "liking" a repo. Stargazers, I'm guessing, are the group of people that have clicked the star button on a repo.

Sounds cool. I'm probably not going to install it without an idea of what it's capable of. Maybe a better README with some examples and screenshots would be helpful.

If someone uses the Google CDN to load the font does the browser/website even look to see if the font is loaded on your local computer?

You'll probably want to start with the GNU Social source code and also take a look at mastodon to see how they hook into GNU Social. As for decentralizing, my thought would be that it should have been a developed around that from the s

I've found that using RVM, much like using virtualenv in python, has helped me with Ruby issues. It doesn't work exactly like virtualenv but it's pretty close.
