This is a staggeringly, monumentally stupid thing to do. Not only is it arrogant in the extreme, but also politically dangerous. Who gets the right to inject aerosols into the stratosphere of another continent?

It would be interesting to learn more about where OSM is now, and how Overture is likely to affect the situation.

Trying to correlate climate change with GDP per capita is rather like trying to connect the performance of a car with the color of the passenger seats.

Also not an expert, but from what I can tell, the difference is, as you say, processing power. But also the instant accessibility of huge gobs of data which can be used to train the models on which these ML systems rely. So it's a perf

The pendulum will start to swing back. The problem is, what will replace the garbage and satisfy the instant, easy, dopamine addiction?

Works great for me. But how do you get it to parse longer prompts. I managed to get white_bear, but anything more won't work for me. Cool idea. :)

So true. Search results now represent the best gamers on the planet, not valuable information. It sucks.

Yes indeed. The SEO industry has finally worked out how to beat Google and get their stuff pushed to the top. Meanwhile the real experts, who don't have any SEO skills at all, are disappearing down the results. It's a tragedy.

Yep. That's because the search algorithm demands a certain minimum length before the article is considered to be ranking worthy. Another case of stupid Google, stupid machines.

Yes it has been noticed. And by Google too of course. The latest Helpful Content Update was designed to tackle the worst, and that update is still underway. The SEO industry response is to double down on long form 'evergreen' cont

There is definitely an orchestrated attempt to get this Geo-engineering rubbish accepted as a sane option. Not sure who's behind it, but it's probably the same bad actors as the denialists. Follow the money. The real problem is th

I hear what you're saying. But it's more than just a bad solution, it's not a solution. It doesn't fix the core issue, which is too many Co2e emissions. Unless and until we address that, we're going nowhere long ter

What's worrying is that these stupid suggestions keep popping up all over the place. It's as if there's now a concerted effort to push geo-engineering on a wider level. I wonder why? Could it be money, and the fossil fuel in

The working components of the Blockchain ecosystem continue to function just fine. The speculative stuff (which is paying for the sectors dev costs) is struggling at the moment. It'll work itself out.

Sigh. We are. We are driving climate change. All of us. We stop driving, flying, wasting, polluting, over consuming etc, and the problem starts to reduce. As it did during the pandemic. Simples.

Ad hominens are always a delight, don't you think? The answer to your question is - I never said it would be easy. That's fairly obvious. We cut emissions during the pandemic on a global scale. We survived. Possibly with the right

The reality is there is NO single solution that will get us out of this hole. The first thing we need to do is drastically cut our emissions every single way we can, as fast as we can. This is not comic pie in the sky, it's realism. Sq

Tried this years ago, turned the card into a fairy wand. It kind of worked. A small problem is the fact that TFL are not that keen on people doing this kind of stuff with their cards.
