Will we get a chance to compete against MIT students? That's mostly what I'm interested in; I'll either get schooled by MIT, or school MIT. Yes this is a counterchallenge. ;)

There's much to learn from incomplete crap. It's like an artist making sketches for a year. With dedication I have to believe it'll produce something of value, and something new.

Nice. What language / framework will you be using for the first batch of releases? And what will you do when a site requires attention? e.g. with a traffic surge? Are the old sites going to stay up? Finally, are you thinking of registering

What's the HN reader's perception of the Reddit vs HN community when it comes to articles about bees / TSA / wikileaks? Do we think we have more interesting commentary? (e.g. is that why we post those articles here?)

The original image is a proper Venn Diagram if you think of the diagram representing various properties of professions. The only correction you need is to replace "Doctor" with "other properties of doctors", etc, to be technically correct -

i think, once you start the game you have to keep building off of your blocks. this wasn't obvious to me at first (if it is true -- i haven't tested it)

It's a directory of name -> IP addresses, publicly editable. Obviously it's not a robust solution, but if the government or Amazon takes this down, well, there's a problem. Vote it up if you want it to stay live.

Assuming popbub had users, would you do it if you could buy adspace on the front page to promote your startup?

OK, thanks for the feedback. When you sign up via facebook you get 200 points. I'll add a feature where you can create an anonymous account for less points so you can try it out. It's completely free, so you don't have to pay for anything.

Thanks, I need some direction here. I'm testing it out on my dev, and the login button is not turning into a logout button even when I am logged in via facebook. Also, FB.logout(); is logging the user out of facebook, which probably isn't d
