This is why you rebase and test before each feature branch is to be merged to master. The only issue comes up when someone decides to merge while someone else has already rebased and is running their tests... but when they try to merge to m

It would be nice if the initial stack per routine size was configurable. Ultimately, it would be interesting if the Go runtime could profile the typical stack usage for new routines and dynamically adjust the pre-allocated stack size config

What fix/patch could the Go team do here to mitigate the issue from happening? It does seem like it would be nice if you could specifically to the runtime the amount of pre-alloc stack size needed. Would this help?

This is one of the reasons why I believe in rev-share employee co-ops. The power dynamics are greatly equalized: everyone gets to see the profit and everyone knows how much others are getting paid. Sure, there's uncomfortable and chall

Thanks, we spent a lot of time working on the video! We plan to mitigate the toxic behavior through a behavior rating system (similar to Overwatch). At the end of the session, users rate the other person in the discussion upon both positive

As far as from my tests and what I've seen reported online, Go and Rust have a substantial lead (20% ish) over Erlang for high throughput servers. EDIT: I believe this is partially due to Go being a lot more CPU efficient overall than

My first development laptop was an 1984 IBM model. It's screen was black-n-white only, and it weighed like a bag of bricks. However, I wrote an amazing amount of Borland C++ on the road with that beast. (rest-in-peace)

I have no insight into how Erlang performs this process, but I'd assume Erlang is performing sending messages almost as fast as it's possible, as it's a key part of the platform and has had two decades to perfect it. Most lik

The main problem I've seen with this strategy is 'funding' for the new system gets pulled half-way, and there's no time remaining to refactor the old system. Fast-forward a year later, someone else may try to write a 3rd
