I'd love an app to help me track this. Any know anything like this? Basically show a map of all the streets with the ones you've walked highlighted. Walking around SF is my favorite thing in the city.

Yeah, it's really surprising to me since I had both my Mom and my sister independently recommend Cover to me. I would put money on Cover being a WhatsApp success story in 3yrs. Oh well, there must have been some internal issues we don&

Scanning the responses on HN, I haven't read a lot of hate. Lots of constructive criticism. I'm personally looking forward to it improving and trying it out again soon.

Very well written article. Operations people are driving a new wave of real world/tech hybrid companies and I think they need a lot more respect for their contributions. One nit, you admonish (rightly) people for thinking just because

I almost remember when Uber was the good guy. Stories like this keep popping up everywhere. It's a competitive market, but there's better ways to grow than attacking competitors and banning developers (earlier story) who try to do

The Evernote Mac client feels like I'm ssh'ed into a remote machine. I type and half a second late the text appears. Seriously sloppy stuff. They need to improve or I need to find something better.

Yep, the syncing devices is where the beach balling usually happens for me as well. Sometimes 5-10 seconds. Also when updating the metadata on songs.

My biggest hope was: Make iTunes (mac) not suck. It's on a short list of the worst software I use every day. Just bringing down the spinny beach balls after every action would have gone a long way. I don't blame the vast majority

Yeah, it's probably against the rules of the competition and will get you arrested if you try. But I think if someone does break into their central server and wins the competition that way, they should still be paid out.
