This isnt comparable. Apple was going to scan local photos, not cloud stored ones. No matter the source, no matter the app. And the phone will report you to the police if the algorithm marks any local photos as ones reported by the police

I think he meant telegram premium, not the app. Its widespread for the wrong reasons, many people think its secure, its not, its one of the worst. It basically has no encryption at all.
