There is also the angle, rare as in practically relevant to us. Too low percentage, a human will never come into contact with a not even single photon originating in these worlds.

It can be viewed as a kind of affirmative action. It’s a contested area but I don’t see Uber convicted over it but even if they were, I wouldn’t call it straightforward, but rather unclear.

I don't think their move here is illegal. I think it's ill-advised, bad PR, will backfire and probably predatory on the group they are ostensibly trying to help. (Maybe even without them even understanding why.) That all said, I w

Yep. Was hoping for someone to debunk or explain. My (probably deeply flawed) hunch was that one would need some kind of specialised virtual machine or something to make homomorphic stuff. I'm babbling now. Yes, someone please explain

What about revenue impact Write that in cursive on the black board 100 times before you are allowed back in your cubicle, employee #140932.

This is not really the largest problem with FB at all. It's that they finely tune us in Skinner boxes to react to shitposts. If the algorithm crosses the line and you back off, it tries something else. It just so happens that what we h

That may not in itself be a bad thing. The scary thing about UBI is that we'd create an unhealthy dependence on the state. I could see it derailing. For all the talk about the US as the modern Roman empire, isn't that exactly what

It was a cheap thing to do out of caution. But I guess, it's not in the culture to "over"-react. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it comes back to bite you.

And the politicians should have put in that severe, very expensive effort. But that would have required them to be fast, which is not a very Swedish thing. Everything is extremely decentralised and in many cases privatized. Either the state
