I’m expecting changes to CGT, gambling winnings, pensions for higher (and up) tax rate payers, and IHT I’d guess the pensions makes sense - you can take money out of an effective 62% tax rate, but you’ll never be paying that sort of tax rat

No because velocity only makes sense as relative to something else. There’s no ‘fixed points’ in the universe This device will track acceleration rather than velocity

The title makes it very easy to make incorrect assumptions about how this works. It’s not individual salaries that are made public, just ranges and averages

If I may pitch my own app, TechniCalc has this same mode, along with a bunch of other stuff the built in app doesn’t support. It works on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS https://jacobdoescode.com/technicalc

Yoga is pretty good. Used to have a few bugs that stayed around way too long when it was abandoned for a few years. Development has picked up again though

Maintainability. Think about having a list. You add constraints between all the rows etc. then remove a row in the middle. Now you have to update all the constraints

Auto Layout was just such a terrible system - as evidenced by it not being present in SwiftUI. It was slow, unintuitive, and not easy to handle UI updates

Digital goods and tips are required to use IAPs and pay the fee. Patreon is either one or the other, or maybe a mix of both. I suspect this has been published more than they anticipated, and they’ll have to allow tips to use external paymen

Obviously Apple will back down here. They have enough issues with regulators. Their rules currently say any form of tipping has to use in app purchases - so I expect this rule to be changed.

This book was excellent for the time, but is now quite outdated. Stuff like how he proposes modules is completely irrelevant with ES modules, arrow functions make ‘this’ much easier, and we have block scoped bindings

The industry uses TypeScript these days. If you’re inheriting a project, write the new stuff in TS, and gradually migrate. If you’re using the modern syntax, I’d say JS behaves mostly like every other language, with the exception being the

It takes a few days for reviews to show up. I’m a developer, and get push notifications for each new review. They’re always at least 2 days old by the time the notification comes in

It looks like a solid set of updates. A lot of designers seem worried, but I’m not sure they need to be. It was always the case you could get prebuilt templates and the like, but companies still prefer to have professional designers. I imag

Sounds like they just want to know what the impact is - and don’t want you to spend too long since it’s only 1 point. Just say you’re not sure it can be done easily if at all, and ask how much time they want you to spend on the task

First time buyer mortgages are 35 years, you’d buy as a couple so it’s two incomes, and 1% is £180k Also either your description is wrong or the valuation is wrong. 1 mile from e.g. Orpington would be around £500k for a 3 bed house
