Yep, I wasted a few hours trying to force the DP solution to work as well before giving up and just using Dijkstra.

This article is a waste of time, just spouting the same blind hate for the web that's so common right now.

These keybinds are relatively common on Linux too, they're Gnome defaults.

Looks like a great effort, but there's two things I don't understand: 1. Is this for X only? That's all I see mentioned on the page. If so, that seems like a pretty big waste, Wayland is definitely the way forward and efforts

I don't have a response to the meat of the article, but I admit that the author is quite brave posting that as a Yale student in the Yale paper with their byline clearly at the bottom.

Thanks for your work on Hamachi! I used it a few months ago to play a "LAN" game over the internet with friends, still works great (even on Linux)!

Inconvenience is often good enough. This isn't intended for state secrets, based on the language it's intended for "creators" to "protect the content they publish on Telegram". Obviously any platform can't

I'm not sure what that link is supposed to mean in this context. Yes, they should have released 1.0 sooner. That doesn't change the fact that they may want to make a breaking change in the future and bump the major version number.

I find it interesting that they're copying Alphabet with their TLD choice. It was clever with abc.xyz, but in this case it doesn't really mean much.

Hacker News is not representative of the population at large. If people in fact do not like this, engagement will drop, and they'll stop doing it. It turns out most people in the silent majority actually do like this, or are at least m

PDF fetishism and blindly disliking HTML because it's associated with the current web is such an old trope. HTML and CSS are good at making hypertext documents, they are in fact much better at that than at making applications, despit
