We've had that implemented since... I dunno, about six months ago maybe? (screenshot: https://skitch.com/jacobian/fgjmc/django ). Not sure why you didn't see it. I wouldn't be surprised if Trac somehow didn't show it to you; it's a bit of

Sorry about the spam filter. We get a shitton of spam (I think we're the largest Trac instance anywhere) and it makes the spam filter rather paranoid. If you're signed in it shouldn't get triggered. Password reset is here: https://www.djan

I'm not sure what "piggyback" SSL means, or "unlimited" for that matter — but no matter; it's clear enough that you're not using SSL as a way of getting people to upgrade. Thanks for clarifying; the pricing page made it seem like you'd need

The huge jump from $0/mo to $100/mo makes this a non-starter for me, and I suspect I'm not the only one. I think these pricing points are a mistake; as someone very interested in this market it'll be interested to see if I'm right or not. I

I completely agree -- as the docs have grown in size [ ] the organization has gotten worse. Originally I designed the structure to be similar to what you laid out, but things have gotten a bit out of control lately. We're workin' on it, tho

Right now it looks like they're requiring Facebook accounts to rent cars, and so they can (presumably) use the Facebook social graph as a rough proxy for trustability. Personally I sorta hate that policy (I've not got a Facebook account...)

Maybe TheSkeptic (brand new account) is a competitor? Ugh, that's a shitty attitude. I think one of the good things about HN is that people here usually give each other the benefit of the doubt and assume good intentions. Lobbing accusati

The link's plenty interesting, but next time please try to avoid editorializing in the title. A "vig" is the cut taken by a loan shark or bookie and has strong connotations of crime and dishonesty (at least in the US). Apple's not breaking

Yup, nailed it. Electricity didn't come to my area until the late 1940s; as far as I can tell, my house wasn't actually wired until the mid-60s.

"All" is just a wee bit hyperbolic. I live in a rural county outside of Lawrence, KS. The fastest 'net connection I can get is Verizon 3G. In a decade, I'll be lucky if WiMax has made its way out that far, but there's absolutely no reason w

Maybe some smart HNer can make a Chrome/FF/whatever plugin like Google's Personal Blocklist for HN? I'd like to be able to just not see certain links without forcing that moderation decision on the entire community.

I'm glad to see there's some forward motion on Gmail; it's seemed like development stalled out a year or so ago. However, it's a bit depressing. If it takes this long to get around to fixing the small things, how long is it going to take th

Indeed - it's pretty silly that in the US apps cost anywhere from 99¢ to $1.10 depending on where your credit card's billing zip code points to. But I can hardly hold Apple responsible for the US's lame sales tax system, and at least Apple

Hi Matt -- I know this really isn't a big deal, and I really don't want to be a dick about it, but in this age of Google I would really appreciate it if you'd change the name. I think if we codenamed Django 1.3 "Wordpress" you'd feel simila
