Thanks for the feedback! I'll see what I can do to make the results easier to see on mobile. I have thought about looking into making it offline; haven't gotten around to that yet but I'll prioritize it higher!

Hey HN! I built this site to learn Elm but also because I was astonished I couldn't find another site that did this. Would love any feedback!

As a fellow Ruby CLI developer, I feel your pain exactly. I've been planning on exploring Traveling Ruby[^1] for exactly this reason (as well as the fact that telling users they need to `sudo gem install` something is non-ideal) but ha

Ah, looks like they just updated the status page. H99 errors mean something's wrong with Heroku's platform.

Could you share some/all of your "never do again" and "needs to be done before launch" lists?

We're getting errors indicative of an S3 outage too.

Ha, I originally planned on building it as a browser extension, but this gave better performance, could be more intelligent (e.g. stop running if the computer is working on something else), and was usable without a web browser.

This becomes tricky when you're using a language like Ruby where arrays also have built-in union and membership operations. And I don't see why, if performance is critical, knowing which operations/techniques/algorithms

I'm not assuming this at all. By all means, learn via non-traditional routes! I only meant to push back on the parent comment's framing of big-O complexity as useless theory.

I see complaints about big-O notation being a useless interview torture device all the time, and yet I'd be hard-pressed to find something else in my very theoretical CS education that (a) was easier to learn (it's the most hand-w
