I get migraines a few times a month lately, 90% of the time it coincides with a stomachache. I've heard that the gut uses more serotonin than the brain. I am not surprised to find more communication.

Does 2 vCPUs on the nano get us twice the CPU cycles for multi-threaded workloads? Regretting my 3-year non-convertible t2.nano reserved instances.

I disdain Pajit's FCC, but I fail to see what this incident has to do with net neutrality.

The ants in the video appear to have been painted bright colors for enhanced visibility. It's quite striking.

Often used with ARM, why is it never used by default on X86/X64 distros? I would think that the "lightweight" alternative would be lean and mean, kind of like Nginx vs Apache.

I have a friend who gets regular migraines. He takes triptans to abort them, but if the frequency becomes too much he takes a low dose of psilocin and it banishes them for a couple months.

Psiphon looks interesting, but if it's a network of thousands of proxy servers, then it will be trivial for the GFW to block those servers, no?

I second this. My company went through a dozen brothers before switching to HP and Xerox. Brother printers are fine for occasional use but they don't hold up for daily office use.

"the company agreed to block Pennsylvania users from its site" If it was being blocked at the ISP level, then I would be concerned.

Agreed. The last car we bought had 0% and a rebate on the loan making it cheaper to finance than to pay cash. I've heard of dealers pulling out of an agreed deal when they learn the buyer wants to pay cash.

Having spent the past decade working with python, I've always considered C to be a mystical black box for hardcore systems guys. I recently needed to write some high performance networking code so I decided to give it a shot. At firs

Not worth the added complexity. Exposing sshd (w/ disabled passwords) is common practice and fine for most use cases. Special use cases may require special precautions, but even airgapped systems can be compromised with enough effort.

Networking is complex and requires flexibility. Executing arbitrary shell commands to set up interfaces is useful. Why should I suffer because people might use a malicious configuration file? If you're in that situation then you

sshuttle is great too! Great for road-warrior applications where a basic SOCKS proxy won't do, but last time I tried it I found it unstable under heavy load and the iptables routing to a user process can be somewhat restrictive, still
